Private equity firm ARX Equity Partners has exited window coverings maker Anwis, generating a 3.3x return multiple and an IRR of over 30%.
The business has been sold to Warema, a German family owned company.
Anwis is Polish manufacturer of internal and external custom made window coverings.
ARX acquired a majority shareholding in Anwis from the retiring founder in late 2014 with the intention of leveraging the company’s technical capabilities, strong domestic market position, wide product range and advanced internet-based ordering solutions in order to grow and internationalise the business.
Since then Anwis has retained its profit margins while consistently growing sales and more than doubling the number of employees.
In 2018 it had sales of €32.6 million (£30.2 million) with around 50% of production exported to Western Europe.
