Private equity firm Inflexion has acquired Xtrac, which designs and manufactures high performance transmissions for the motorsport and automotive industry.
Xtrac supplies most of the world’s top motorsport teams including MotoGP and Formula 1. The business has strong EBITDA growth and over 80% of its revenue is generated through exports.
Inflexion is backing Xtrac’s well established management team, who will remain with the business.
The investment by Inflexion will be used to help expand the business further, including supporting its high performance road car division, extending its factory and buying more machinery.
