Private equity firm Main Capital Partners has sold its majority stake in Saas business Roxit to Visma, a software firm.
Roxit is a Dutch governmental software company which provides a range of products used for permits and code enforcement, mapping and content management.
It has more than 500 customers in the Netherlands including Dutch municipalities, water boards, environmental agencies and universities. The business employs nearly 250 people.
Main Capital Partners invested in Roxit in 2015 and since then the business has made five acquisitions, which together form the Roxit Groep.
Charly Zwemstra, Chair of the Roxit Groep Supervisory board and Managing Partner of Main Capital Partners, said: “We have had a strong strategic collaboration with the management of Roxit Groep over the past 3.5 years. In this period, Roxit Groep evolved from a challenger to a leading player in the governmental software market, where its solutions are currently used by every municipality across the Netherlands.”
Rob Steneker, CEO of Roxit Groep, added: “In good cooperation with Main Capital we have strengthened the position of Roxit Groep in recent years.”
