The demands & rigour of being a Non Executive Director (NED) within the FTSE 350 hasn’t diminished post the Government’s decision not to implement the proposed principals as devised from the Operating & Financial Review (OFR). The demand of time and breadth of knowledge required for a FTSE NED to keep abreast of the ever changing legislation is, as ever, unrelenting. Conversely the increasing appetite from Private Equity to attract the best, as well as the allure of minimal public scrutiny and lucrative rewards, means the traditional and established talent pool is shrinking.
