Our History

For over two decades, we have been focused on understanding how individuals and teams succeed within high growth businesses. From the very beginning, the seeds were sown in our belief that data, when combined with the knowledge of the skilled expert, leads to better outcomes for all.

Today, that belief has become reality, as we continue to build on our reputation for developing smart insights, enhancing creativity and being impactful. However, we know that no matter how far we have come, we are still only as good as the work we deliver.

2003

Founded

Drax begun, our origins were as a generalist executive search firm competing against the global search firms across PLC’s

 
2005

Private Equity

We worked with private equity for the first time

 
2009

Growth Focused Clients

Drax had developed a portfolio of clients across plc and private equity that had a shared view on investment, return and growth   

 
2010

Established Talent Bridge from PLC to PE

We started to actively cross fertilise leaders from appropriate plc’s into private equity  

 
2012

Specialised in Private Equity

Drax made the decision to specialise within private equity & private equity backed businesses

 
2014

Drax built DEC

Drax built DEC, a live database of all executives that had been part of a leadership team for PE backed business that had exited.

 
2015

DEC Expands

DEC Expands to include leadership teams of PE backed business still on their journey; pre exit.

drxDATA, our data analytics and science team was formed

drxDATA Releases Insight Report

drxDATA released our first annual insights report

drxDATA produced our first algorithm to identify off market deal origination

LSPM

drxDATA commissioned a research project, to develop a model that calculates the value of individual leaders and leadership teams on the investment they sit within (LSPM)

 

PACE

drxDATA, having made significant progress in calculating the value of our leadership model begun new research to identify and isolate the critical behaviours associated with the best performing exits (PACE).

 

LCap

Drax reverses into The LCap Group, to further develop our capability to define the capital value of leadership within PE backed businesses.
