Kate joined Drax in 2018 to support the development of our consumer practice across both private equity and high growth companies. Her main focus is within the Retail and Branded Consumer Goods sectors, working across all cap sizes and with a Pan-European focus, supporting brands and funds both pre and post deal. She is also passionate about supporting Founder owned and primary investments as they navigate the world of private capital, and as such leads our Founder coverage. She previously spent three years working for an executive search and advisory firm specialising in private equity, having started her career in Investment Management. Kate graduated in 2011 with a Masters in English Literature from Balliol College, Oxford.

Outside of work, Kate's dedication to expanding her consumer knowledge across all subsectors knows no bounds, much to the detriment of her bank balance.

Harriet joined Drax in 2021 and is a Director within the consumer practice. Previously, she led the hospitality, travel and leisure sectors as well as supporting the broader consumer Partners’ on delivery at a global boutique search firm. During her career, Harriet has developed an extensive network across the consumer industries and a strong track record in placing senior executives into both listed and private equity backed businesses on a global scale, with recent focuses on Asia and the US. Harriet also heads up DRAX's approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Harriet graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Politics.

In her spare time Harriet spends as much time as she can skiing in the Swiss Alps, and outside the season can frequently be found spectating sporting events, particularly horse racing and rugby.

Jamie joined the Consumer Practice in 2021 after working for a boutique headhunting firm specialising in senior management and C-Suite roles in the hospitality sector across the EMEA, GCC and USA. After completing a degree in Business and International Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University in 2014, Jamie spent five years working with a number of leading hospitality and lifestyle brands in London before pivoting to the world of Executive Search.

Max joined DRAX in 2021 to support the delivery of assignments across the Consumer Practice and has now developed expertise within marketplace & online businesses. He has previous experience working within executive search at a global boutique search firm working across various practices before specialising in sports, media and entertainment. Max has a track record delivering c-suite and board level mandates across Europe, USA and Asia.

Outside of work, Max is a keen sportsman and can be found in the summer months attempting to captain the Steak and Kidney Pudding Cricket Club. He also likes to go and watch his beloved rugby team Gloucester, although recent performances have been tough to watch.

Sandy is a Group Insights Manager in DRAX’s PACE team, where she analyses the behavioural capabilities of individuals and entire teams.

Prior to joining DRAX in 2021, Sandy graduated from the University of St Andrews where she studied Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Her studies focused on group behaviour and the neurological drivers of motivation and reasoning, forming the root of her interest in leadership psychology and organisational behaviour.

Whilst completing her studies, Sandy worked as a Data Assistant for an IT services company in the US. Outside of work, Sandy is an avid tennis player and long-distance runner.

Alex joined The LCap Group in 2020 and works for the Insights team, specialising in the Leadership Dynamics product. Alex is currently the Insights Manager and oversee's the practice’s delivery. His primary focus includes supporting funds and management teams to make informed decisions by harnessing the power of Leadership Dynamics.

Alex graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BA in History and Ancient History. Outside of work, Alex enjoys playing rugby, football, lacrosse and spends most weeks watching West Ham.

Ruby leads on searches within PE backed and high growth Technology & Tech-Enabled businesses. Recently Ruby has undertaken multiple searches on behalf of our clients to maximise the opportunity that digitisation presents to their businesses across a variety of different sectors from both the B2B and B2C environments. Ruby leads on diversity within leadership across the company and has been both an early adopter and instrumental in introducing Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In initiative to the UK.

Patrick is a Partner within the Technology & Tech-Enabled practice. He joined Drax in 2017 and has delivered assignments across a variety of private equity-backed organisations, encompassing pre and post-deal mandates. This has involved supporting a breadth of leadership teams and value creation strategies. Geographically, Patrick has worked across the Nordics, DACH and Benelux regions as well as with UK businesses. Previously, Patrick spent some time living in Zambia supporting social enterprises.

Outside of work, most sports appeal albeit his ability doesn't match his enthusiasm.

Chris has been working in Leadership Change since 2010 and within the Technology space since 2012.

Between 2026 and 2024 Chris built a Technology search business from scratch into one of the most notable brands in the northwest region. During this time he has embedded himself into the Northern tech ecosystem, speaking on many panel events and advising on hiring best practice in high-growth businesses.

In his spare time Chris can be found playing golf badly or coaching his daughter at football in the hopes she will live his dream of playing for Glasgow Rangers.

Adam has worked in Executive Search since 2016, supporting private equity and venture backed technology and services companies. He holds a functional specialism in commercially focused roles including CMO, CRO, CSO and CCO, placing Go To Market (GTM), commercial, and marketing executives in leadership roles. Adam has lived in London and New York where he has developed a deep understanding of the UK and US technology landscape.

Outside of work Adam is willing to try his hand at just about any sport, with Golf, Skiing and Football being firm favourites. Through the week he can be found taking in live music events around the city.

Emilia joined DRAX in 2015 as a researcher & has successfully delivered assignments across a variety of private equity backed organisations. Emilia has worked across a range of sectors and functions and currently sits in the Consumer Practice supporting assignments both pre & post-deal. Emilia holds a BA in Classics from the University of Nottingham.

In her free time, Emilia enjoys watching and playing sport and seeing friends and family. When possible, she likes to spend time in the mountains (both winter and summer), Pilates and trying out new restaurants.

Jack is a Partner in our Business Services Practice. He joined DRAX in 2009 as a Research Analyst with an early focus on the Private Equity space, and during his time in the business, Jack has worked with a wide range of private equity firms and portfolio companies to support with CFO appointments and senior finance hires. Jack leads on CFO mandates, both in the UK and Europe. From a sector perspective, Jack predominantly works with portfolio companies across business and support services, consumer services and manufacturing and industrials.

Jack spent his early life in the northwest close to the Lake District, then graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1 Honours degree in Russian and Slavonic Studies.

Outside work, Jack is a keen runner, golfer, cricketer, and enjoys outdoor pursuits, reading and travelling when time permits.

Mark leads Drax's CFO Practice, which is one of the market leading practices for Private Equity CFOs in the UK, and constitutes circa 30% of the firms recruitment fee revenue per annum. Mark has successfully delivered numerous CFO searches across a range of sectors for PE backed portfolio companies across Europe and is a trusted advisor to a number of Private Equity Houses. He is also responsible for building relationships within the CFO and broader community to support and coach their own personal career development.

Peter is a Partner in our Business Services practice. He works directly with Owner/Founders and Private Equity Houses to build leadership teams that are the right fit for the growth journey of each individual business.

Having been with the Rowan Group since 2012 (which later became part of the LCap Group and subsequently was merged into DRAX).

Peter strongly believes that people are the primary lever of growth and is passionate about supporting the SME market across the northern regions.

Outside of work, Peter is father to 2 children, a fan of U2, and as a keen fan of US dramas, his favourite hobby is boxset binge-watching!

Lucy joined Drax’s CFO practice in 2021, after spending two years at a specialist recruitment company, where she focused on CFOs in Private Equity, both mid- and large-cap, across all sectors. Prior to this, Lucy graduated with a First-Class degree from Leeds University and a Master's degree in Gender and Politics from UCL.

Outside of work, Lucy is a self-proclaimed restaurant connoisseur and enjoys doing a variety of gym classes from Boxing to Barre.

Owain studied finance and psychology at university and started his career in accounting/finance before moving into recruitment at the start of 2022. He first worked within technology recruitment before moving into executive search in 2023.

Owain relocated to the UK from Australia in mid 2024, joining DRAX shortly after he arrived.

Outside of work Owain is sports mad, predominantly focused on football and golf. He also undertook a triathlon and is proud to say he recorded the slowest swimming time of all male competitors under the age of 30.

Walker joined Drax in 2022, joining the Business Services division he is now in the CFO practice concentrating on CFOs in Private Equity within both mid-and large-cap realms across diverse sectors. He spent the previous 12 years in Technology & Transformation recruitment, operating in both the UK and delivering across EMEA as well as in APAC. He has worked within large-scale and boutique consultancies delivering highly specialised search capabilities to clients across all sectors.

Originally a Law Graduate from the University of Edinburgh, Walker moved into the IT recruitment space and leveraged this to support his love of travel worldwide (and following Scotland rugby on the always stressful journey to international stadia).

Lewys is a member of our CFO team after spending the last seven years recruiting across multiple sectors in London. He spent the last five years working at a Corporate Governance Boutique, delivering talent to a diverse pool of clients including Investment Banks, Asset Managers, Trading Houses, Hedge Funds & Private Equity firms. This work spanned a range of geographies including the UK, Benelux, DACH & the US. Prior to this, he graduated with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Plymouth and spent a year working as an Assistant Neuropsychologist, before starting his career in recruiting.

Lewys is a keen sportsman, with a background in football & rugby, but having more recently traded this in for a struggling (but improving) golf career.

Euan joined Drax in 2018 from another search firm where he spent the previous six years working exclusively with private equity funds. He’s been in the recruitment market since 2010. He is a Senior Partner focussing on the Financial Services & Professional Services markets, originating, and executing searches across Board and C-suite. Euan supports management teams and their private equity sponsors achieve their growth aspirations through impactful leadership change and analysis.

Euan graduated from Loughborough University in 2007. His young family keeps him occupied when not in the office, but he also enjoys most sports, more watching than playing now unfortunately.

Nick leads our Interim practice, with over 17 years experience recruiting executive level interims and consultant across a range of functions, sectors, scenarios and geographies.

Nick provides private capital backed businesses with rapid access to leadership resource for businesses facing turnaround, transformation, or growth at board, C-Suite and senior management levels.

Nick works with businesses needing post investment optimisation, mid course corrections or support preparing a business for an exit, harnessing value creation levers in areas, like finance, technology, commercial, operations, and people, where he has an exceptional network of leaders.

Alex joined Drax as a Researcher in 2015 and has supported the development of our Financial Services & Professional Services practice from its earliest stages. He has successfully delivered pre & post deal assignments for high growth PE backed businesses across various sub-sectors including; Insurance, Asset & Wealth management, Lending & Specialty Finance, Fintech, Trust Corporate Services & Fund Admin, Consulting, Accountancy, Legal Services and broader professional services.

When not working Alex can be found out on or by the water, he is an avid sailor & has competed at various European & World Championships.

Connie supports the delivery of assignments across DRAX's Financial & Professional Services Practice. She has prior experience working within executive search at boutique search firms specialising in various subsectors of the financial services space, including insurance, pensions, wealth, asset management, private markets, ILS and investment banking.

Connie has a track record of delivering mandates across Europe and the US.

James is responsible for DRAX’s engagement with Private Equity and proposition development. Having led the focus within Private Equity for over a decade, James has led and supported a number of significant Private Equity transactions from early stage high growth through to large cap businesses by bringing alongside the executive teams of Chair, CEO and CFO throughout Europe and the US. His experience and knowledge within Private Equity and associated advisors is extensive.

Benedict joined Drax in 2021 to support the development of the Deal Advisory practice. He previously spent three years working with Bain & Company, a global management consultancy, where he helped to launch a new service proposition (the Bain Advisor Network) to support clients by aligning External Advisors to support on projects – in particular, large cap private equity clients seeking External Advisor support on deal processes during commercial due diligence. Earlier in his career, Benedict worked for a private equity focused executive search and advisory firm.

David leads searches in private equity & debt funds across EMEA and the US and is responsible for delivering searches in high growth & large cap businesses. He is also a member of the Drax Board focused on the client experience and developing our capabilities. David delivers Chair, Non Executive and CEO appointments and recently undertook a global search across health services that captured a short list of candidates from three continents.

Outside of work, David has a passion for sports, in particular golf and rugby. David also enjoys spending time with his family

Adam leads our coverage across global business services, sustainability, industrials and infrastructure markets.

He was previously a Partner of a high-growth search and leadership advisory firm, where he launched a new division and strengthened the firm’s evolving IMPACT capability.

Adam has worked extensively with ambitious companies, private equity sponsors, institutional investors, governments and regulators. This has primarily involved board and executive committee appointments, as well as leadership succession and development exercises.

Matthew's career path has come full circle, landing him back at DRAX as a Partner for Growth Capital. He was part of the Business Service DRAX Executive team before moving to Rowan, where he used his experience to make significant relationships in the lower mid-market and growth capital markets. Now that he is back at DRAX, he brings a plethora of expertise, focusing on executive and non-executive across the lower mid market, with a sector focus on industrial and business services.

Matthew's return to DRAX signals a reunion of passion and skill. He has an impressive history that includes operations leadership mandates across private and listed organisations.

Alex is a partner in our Business Services team, focusing exclusively in Energy. He has over 20 years’ experience within the recruitment and executive search industry covering conventional hydrocarbons, with his focus now turning towards clean energy, energy transition and carbon reduction. Alex is a member of the Geoscience Energy Society of Great Britain (GESGB) and the London Geological Society.

Alex has spent the last decade working as an independent consultant to the energy industry and has supported energy clients as well as search firms directly.

On top of his many talents when it comes to supporting clients with energy related roles, Alex is a member of Team GB Kickboxing, a Kickboxing and Rugby Coach.

Carl has been working in financial Talent Acquisition and Executive Search since 1999, mainly across Lancashire, and has built an in-depth knowledge of the local market, including many of the region’s leading businesses.

He joined Rowan (which later became part of the LCap Group and subsequently was merged into DRAX) in 2014, and believes the most important element of his role is to treat both clients and candidates with a long-term relationship in mind, and his network and reputation in the industry are testament to this.

A father of two and a classic car enthusiast, Carl is as busy outside of the office as he is in it.

Sebastian joined DRAX in 2014 as a researcher and supported the delivery of assignments for high-growth businesses and those backed by private equity across several sectors. More recently he has supported the development of the consumer practice predominantly in manufacturing, food manufacturing, building products and distribution environments. Sebastian heads this up in the Business Services & Industrials practice, recently adding Industrial products specialism into his repertoire. Sebastian graduated from the University of Bristol in 2014, having read history

Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, skiing, music gigs and watching and participating in sports whether that be rugby, tennis or golf.

Toby joins Drax with nearly 20 years of experience spent in both recruitment and business consulting solutions, delivering to clients across the investment banking and wider financial services industries.  During this time, he specialised in senior technology and change management hires, working across front-office trading environments and responding to impactful regulatory mandates.

Toby is now part of the Business Services division within Drax and will continue to drive activity across our established portfolio of clients in this space.  A keen sportsman who enjoys golf and football predominantly, he lives in South London with his young family. 

Elliott oversees research, project insights, and drives end-to-end project execution.

He has successfully led board and executive management searches across pan-European markets, with a strong focus on the manufacturing, industrial technology, infrastructure, and broader B2B services sectors.

Before transitioning into the Human Capital industry, Elliott earned a degree in Chemical Engineering, complemented by hands-on experience through placements at Rolls Royce and Arup, a globally renowned engineering consultancy.

Nancy joined DRAX as a Consultant within the Business Services Practice, where she supports in a research and project execution capacity. Prior to DRAX, Nancy worked in the Expert Network Industry. She has a Bachelors in Modern Foreign Languages and a Masters in Translation Studies. She has also studied and worked in both France and Spain.

Outside of work, Nancy enjoys travelling, skiing and playing netball.

Howard kicked off his career journey as part of DRAX Executive's Graduate Scheme back in September 2022. From there, he ventured into Rowan South, a brand entity within the LCap Group, where he honed his skills further.

Now, coming full circle, Howard rejoins DRAX Executive, bringing with him a wealth of expertise garnered from supporting both executive and non-executive search endeavours for growth-cap PE-backed enterprises. His experience traverses diverse sectors such as industrials, business services, infrastructure and real assets, and the consumer realm.

Howard's academic prowess is equally impressive, having earned an MSc in International Human Resource Management from Queen Mary University in 2022. With his multifaceted background and dedication to excellence, Howard is poised to make significant contributions to the executive search landscape at DRAX Executive.

Outside of work, Howard enjoys sports such as football and skiing, as well as spending time outdoors and with friends.

Since joining DRAX over six years ago, Kit has played a significant role in diversifying and developing the Business Services Practice. Currently, Kit leads DRAX’s Healthcare & Education Services practice, where he works with a variety of healthcare services, including NHS outsourcing & insourcing, clinical healthcare, medical consumables/products & devices, diagnostics, pharmaceutical services, private school groups, nurseries, and learning & training providers.

When not working, Kit can be found on the golf course, following Sheffield United home & away or spending time with his young family.

Ella joined DRAX in 2022 after moving to the UK from Vancouver, Canada. After working in client service, marketing and account management in the travel and hospitality sector, Ella pivoted into executive search with a particular focus on the Healthcare & Education sector.

She is passionate about the study of human development and holds a degree (B.A.) in Human Geography and a Diploma in Marketing Management.

Kerry joins Drax's Life Sciences team, with a focus on supporting high-growth businesses in medical devices, life science tools, and tech-enabled markets. She brings almost a decade of experience in executive search, having previously worked with life science executive search boutiques. Prior to her career in search, Kerry worked in academic research within infectious diseases and immunology.

Kerry holds degrees in BioMedicine, Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active with skiing, swimming and running around after her young son.

Hajer is a consultant in the DRAX Life Sciences practice. Hajer has a curiosity in people, and enjoys getting to know all the candidates and clients she works with.

Hajer has prior experience in customer service, hospitality and admin, and loves meeting new people, exploring our differences and expanding her knowledge on other cultures and traditions.

In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting/knitting and relaxing to Pink Floyd.

Louise has over 20 years of experience in executive search, recruiting C-Suite roles, as well as personally sitting at SMT level and managing a number of sales teams. Louise is passionate about her role supporting the SME market with organisational design and the life cycle of their business. Louise is qualified to CIPD level 5.

Louise also runs the LCap Group Women’s Community Initiative which is currently expanding it across the UK. Please contact Louise to find out more about this flourishing initiative.

Outside of work Louise is a keen scuba diver, theatre goer, and dedicated mum.

Jordan is an experienced Associate Director. He joined the DRAX North team from fellow L-Cap Group Company Rowan with his work focusing on CFO roles within PE firms, both pre and post investment.

He particularly enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively to create a tailored solution for his clients across DRAX’s North region.

Outside of work Jordan is dad to a little boy, Rio, and an avid golfer.

Fiona is an Associate Director in the DRAX North team. Fiona previously held a sales management role and has transitioned into the world of executive search.

She is driven by the variety of work, the people she speaks to in her role. Outside of work, Fiona enjoys going to live gigs, especially her favourite band, the Foo Fighters.

Abi is a Project Manager working across the Consumer & Tech practices at DRAX. Abi has previous experience in Executive Search initially with MediaLink where she focused on US- based media and marketing roles. Most recently at The MBS Group focused on the Hospitality, Travel, and Leisure space.

Abi has previous experience working as an EA for a public affairs agency and in client services and events for one of the ‘Big Four’ Accountancy and Consulting firms.

In her spare time Abi is an avid reader, averaging over 100 books per year. She also likes to cook, and catch up with friends over a drink at the pub.

Alicia has worked in the Executive Search industry as a Project Coordinator / EA since 2022 - during this time she has handled projects end-to-end over a variety of sectors in different businesses. 

Alicia worked as an EA at the Howard de Walden Estate, she gained insight into the management and construction of commercial, residential, and medical building projects. 

Outside of work Alicia enjoys travelling and loves the theatre, having been trained by Sylvia Young and the National Youth Theatre throughout her early years. 

Shona is the HR Business Partner for the LCap Group, including DRAX. She is a key member of the People team, embedding the People Strategy across all LCap brands and aligning our People Strategies with business objectives.

Shona drives our internal talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organisational development initiatives.

Outside of work, Shona loves dogs, netball and is also a massive foodie.
