Away Resorts

When private equity firm Bregal Freshstream acquired a majority stake in holiday park operator Away Resorts from private equity firm LDC, Away Resorts Founder and CEO Carl Castledine asked Drax to help find a non-executive director for the business. As a result of the search Away Resorts appointed former Facebook digital marketer Streisan Bevan to the role.

The Result

Carl Castledine said: “We were looking for a non-executive director who could contribute to our strategic vision, part of which is a digital transformation to give our customers a much better experience when booking a holiday. So one of the key search criteria was that someone had to have digital capability and a digital skillset. Drax had worked with LDC and Freshstream previously, which was important for me, and they made the process very smooth and quick. They were very helpful and flexible and I liked the fact that they were to the point – other search firms can try to push other products on you or tell you how great they are, but Drax just said this is what we will do and then went away and got on with it. I would recommend Drax and we will be using them again when the time is right.”
